L'Anse des LeBlanc ~ LeBlanc Cove
LeBlanc Cove is where at least five LeBlanc families had settled as well as other well known Acadian families such as Gaudet, Girouard and others. The LeBlancs who had lived here were considered to be wealthy. Deported from here one Charles LeBlanc never returned. After Charles died, his estate of $36,000 was distributed among his nieces and nephews as he had never married. That was a great deal of money in the 1700's!
